At ELC, we consider homestay accommodation to be one of the most important services we offer. At all three ELC centers, a full-time Housing Coordinator is dedicated to managing our homestay program. All homes are inspected by an ELC staff member, who provides an orientation program for all families admitted into our program. Each student fills out a homestay evaluation prior to leaving ELC, so our homestay database is constantly being updated with student comments and recommendations.
We consider all of our host families to be of high quality. What specifically were you looking for in a host family? We are open to receiving preferences such as pets/no pets, smoking/non-smoking, children/no children and will take your preferences into consideration when placing you with a family. Our host families are 30-60 minutes by public transportation (with a maximum commute of 60 minutes).
